The research group Experimental Immunology at the Department of Biomedicine of the University Hospital Basel in Switzerland is looking for a PhD student to work on human immunology (starting in March 2018).
The Experimental Immunology research group is a well-established team with expertise in immunology and a strong collaboration with clinicians at the University Hospital in Basel and with academic partners worldwide.

Your assignment
We are studying the role of innate-like T cells in human diseases and the mechanisms leading to presentation and recognition of non-peptidic antigens. New microfluidic tools will be used to investigate single T cells from human gut biopsies.
The selected candidate will be part of a team investigating these aspects in a collaborative research project with ETH Zürich – Department of Biosystems Science and Engineering in Basel.

Your profile
Master of Science degree in biology, biochemistry, molecular medicine or biotechnology is required. Background in molecular and cell biology and biochemistry is of advantage. The position requires teamwork ability, high communication skills and enthusiasm.
