Membri del Laboratorio

At the moment I am following two PhD students in Amsterdam (Amsterdam Medical Center, Molecular Cell Biology and Immunology Department) and one PhD student in Cuba (Finlay Institute, Havana). From September we will have two PhD students from a granted ITN project called Glytunes.

Attività

  • Carbohydrate-mediated host-pathogens interactions
  • Study innate properties of anti-microbial carbohydrate-based vaccines
  • Innate/Potentiator roles of bacterial glyco-conjugates
  • Anti-carbohydrates antibodies in lung cancer (lung microbiota and lung cancer)
  • Targeting lectins to improve anti-cancer vaccination strategies
  • Carbohydrates-coated gold nanoparticles as tool to study host-pathogens interactions
  • Pathogens of interest: S. pneumoniae, N. meningitidis, SARS-CoV-2
